The scope of the thesis is to elaborate the issue of group decision making in the context of recommender systems in the tourism domain. Think of a group of potential tourists who want to jointly decide on their next vacation. Furthermore, the participants are in an early stage of their decision process having problems in explicitly expressing their needs and preferences. It is assumed that pictures help them to a) express their prefrences and b) to guide the decision process. The thesis is supported by a running prototype.
