Strategic options for Austrian e-tourism (E-T-Opt-Aus)

Austria was a leading player in online tourism (both w.r.t. to commercial applications as well as to research contributions). This position could not be maintained, and Austrian tourism stake holder and suppliers face rough international competition, especially in the very competitive online distribution (booking) market. In this situation the project intends to identify strategic answers. Obviously, there is no single answer, but several future options. Those should be identified and described. This starts from a description / analysis of the current Austrian and international situation, then we look at international best practices. Following strategic alternatives are formulated and iteratively improved.
