Paolo Federico is a research and teaching assistant at the information engineering group (ieg) of the Institute for Software Technology and Interactive Systems at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. His main research interests are Information Visualization and Visual Analytics.
Paulo holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Naples, Italy, and now he is a PhD candidate (in his final stage) in Computer Science, working on a thesis about Visual Analytics of dynamic networks. He has been involved in several national and international research projects, such as CVAST (Centre for Visual Analytics Science and Technology), ViENA (Visual Enterprise Network Analytics), EXPAND (EXploratory visualisation of PAtent Network Dynamics) and MobiGuide (Guiding Patients Anytime Everywhere).
Paolo reviewed for several scientific conferences and journals, such as the IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG) and the Eurographics/IEEE Conference on Visualization. He has been lecturing Information Visualization as well as projects and seminars in Media Informatics, Medical Informatics, Software Engineering, and Visual Computing.
