Abstract:
In this thesis, the requirements for a computer-aided tool for creating and managing a quality management system are developed by analysing the case study of an Austrian industrial company, VA TECH ELIN. The electronic QM-system shall considerably reduce the quality management expense compared to conventional systems, simplify the workflow itself and provide a basis for continual improvement of business processes. For this purpose, the business process of the generator division of VA TECH ELIN is illustrated in the first part of this paper; the second section identifies and analyses those functions in the business process which are particularly important for quality management. These two parts establish the prerequisites for the development of the requirements on a computer-aided quality management system, which are derived from the analysis of the business process of the case study, VA TECH ELIN. This is the subject of the third part of this thesis that thus describes the perfect tool for considerably simplifying the management of the quality system. Moreover the system shall help to design the workflow more efficient and provide extensive methods to monitor and control the business process.
