Abstract:
Many Companys try to assert themselves competitive advantage by reorganizing their business processes. To reduce the risk of wrong decisions when redesigning businessprocesses and to find optimum processes, this thesis tries to support decision making by examining evaluation methods. First the basics of the investigation and the terms used are explained. The functions of system oriented business process management and the phases of the reorganisation process are examined. Towards the classic theory of value the process of evaluation is analysed and reasons for evaluation during the process of business reorganisation are identified. Afterwards business management oriented evaluation methods for business processes are searched for and their qualification on that is tested on a concrete example. After the assessment of the evaluation methods a model for their information technology based implementation is portrayed, whereby additional opportunitys of application are revealed.
