Abstract:
The development of secure and external data storage is effected in the SemCrypt Project. It works with encrypted XML and administers the controlled access to the XML-elements. The Show case which deals with sensitive data has been developed for the deployment in the SemCrypt environment. With the common spreadsheet program Microsoft Excel 2003 a solution for the distributed project management is suggested. A standardized XMLschema for project management represents the data source for Microsoft Excel. The central database, which is outsourced on the external data storage, supplies current and uniform planning data for all taking part. Additional control mechanisms provide with XAccess a
roll based access to document fragments. Microsoft Excel takes root as locally distributed system and offers an asynchronous collaboration. Special techniques enable the user to represent the project data individually. In our solution several user roles and tasks were defined, in order to evaluate these techniques.
