Abstract:
Intermodal container logistic is an important approach in the freight forwarding business. International contracts between states and between companies make an efficient international road haulage possible. This diploma presents an informationsystem which supports the logistic service provider in performing his tasks and provides him a competitive advantage. Interfaces allow to share the data with the customer, partner companies or different departments in the logistic company. Interfaces also help to prevent mistakes in the data entry. These kind of data is hard to govern and share without an informationssystem. They make a trouble free transport chain possible and reduce the failures in the freight traffic, which are caused by missing and incorrect data. If there is a failure in the transport of the goods, it will support the employee by helping to find a solution. It must be a goal to make logistic even more rational and cheaper than it is now, in order to reduce the pollution of the environment and prevent the population from the negativ effects of the "free movement of goods".
