Description:
In e-tourism travel plans are built for tourists. Such a plan contains a number of activities such as flight, accommodation in a hotel and visits of certain points of interests (e.g. a museum, sports event and more). The travel plan can also contain different cities or regions to be visited and may extend over several days. We assume that such a plan can be evaluated quantitatively. Each plan generated by a program can achieve a certain value that can be compared with values of other plans. The value is computed in dependency of preferences given by the tourist explicitly. If the tourist changes his preferences or some environmental conditions change (bad weather, traffic jam, museum closed), the evaluation of the travel plan is changed and may be evaluated worser than before. An information system can now "repair" the old plan. This shall be implemented with tabu search.
